Market Access Insights

Lurbinectedin: Two questions. Two answers. Opposite directions.

We have just published a MARA Rating for a maintenance treatment in lung cancer.

The trial answered one question clearly: does this treatment extend survival? It does. Patients lived longer than those on the standard treatment.

Reimbursement bodies ask a different question: is the cost per outcome gained within the accepted range?

The answer was no. By a wide margin.

These are not the same question. Clinical development answers the first. Market access depends on the second.

Both questions have clear answers here. They point in opposite directions.
